The Tour begins with an introductory video which shows the history of the Hoover Dam. After that, a guide will take you to an elevator for a 500-foot descent (152.40 meters) to have a close look at the power plant generators at the base of the Hoover Dam. Visitors will be taken to see the original diversion tunnels and will feel the rumble of the Colorado River water racing through a 30-foot (9.14 meters) pipe.
