Mechanic

Main responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance and mechanical checks on buggies, quads and company vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems and breakdowns.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and necessary repairs to keep vehicles safe and operational.
  • Prepare and check vehicles before they are used for tours.
  • Assist with the recovery of broken-down vehicles when required.
  • Keep the workshop, tools and work area organized and properly maintained.

Required

  • Valid Cape Verde driving licence.
  • Previous professional experience as a mechanic is essential.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems and vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and carry out repairs independently.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to work Sundays and public holidays when required.

Must speak

  • Portuguese

Preferred

  • Previous experience working on buggies, quad bikes or similar off-road vehicles.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic electrical diagnostics.
  • Experience using professional mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience with vehicle recovery and using a recovery trailer.
  • Basic welding or fabrication skills.
